Here's some more on my trip to Singapore (not to be confused with the ridiculously long trip to Singapore Brett just got back from). Anyway, after our time in Chinatown, we took a taxi over to Little India. We walked around a bit and shoppped. We ate dinner there at a popular place called the Banana Leaf. It was good, but VERY authentic- so much so that Brett and I both had tummy aches afterwards. Then we were on our way over to the Night Safari. (Brett and Neil found these great safari hats in Little India, but didn't get them- they didn't fit right, but it was a good thought.)
The Night Safari at the zoo was a great time. The pictures didn't turn out all that great, as we couldn't use a flash, but we had a really fun time! First, we stopped and watched a "native" show. After the show, we got on the tram and rode thru the whole park and saw all kinds of animals. The best part was the tram tour guide- she had the most hilarious accent, and we couldn't help but have a great time! After the tram tour, we walked thru the park a bit more- saw some aquariums. Then Wilma got a "fish pedicure". Seriously, these fish come up to your feet and eat off the dead skin. Kinda cool, kinda creepy- I just watched the process, but would love to try it someday. After that, we went back to the hotel to get a good night's sleep before our trip to the zoo.
Happy birthday!
